Book in good plus condition with blue cloth boards and gold lettering and detail on spine. Blue cloth on spine ends is missing 1 /4 inch by spine width. Wear on opening crease. Some wear on edges with corners completely worn. Endpapers are solid brown. Penciled ownership of Bettie Knox, Giddings, Texas, August 10, 1877. There I s some looseness with signatures but they are not falling apart. Book lays a bit lazy. Nice etching of Longfellow as frontispiece. Tissued. Spine end damage on overage with bottom having cloth tear across. Corners ar bumped a nd worn. Edge wear. Solid brown endpapers. Etched frontispiece of Longfellow and tissue. Slight mold residue discoloring on endpapers. Boards have more discoloring from mold residue. Hinges are not sp lit but brown color on endpapers is cracked. Book is quite tight and clean. Normal page foxing. ; 8vo; 492 pages; Book number is SVL32-37. Binding is Hardcover. Price: 12.50 USD
