Large light stain at base of front board. Spine cover completely split on one side. Usual library/discard markings. Text is quite clean/tight with normal usage showing. Wright, Harold Bell THE EYES OF THE WORLD Burt N. D. Undated but inked ownership on ffep states Dec.25, 1921. Four very nice color illustrations from the oil paintings of Cootes. Illustration stated to be by page 32 is by page 40 instead. Book in fair c ondition with solid blue cloth boards and worn white lettering on front and spine. Spine is also sun faded and worn. Both hinges are badly split causing boards to be together but almost off text. Sign atures are still fine. Some scattered spotting. Pages are lightly browned. Oval b/w illustration of young couple still nice as is the white lettering on front. White lettering on spine is all rubbed off. Front/rear hinges are weak and beginning to split. Some waterstaining along the page edges throughout text but there is none on the illustrations. Illustration contents page has several mistakes. The second illustration is not pn page 62 but on page 66. The third illustration states it is on page 111 but actually on page 114.
