1971.First Printing. A Stonehill Book published by Simon and Schuster.212 pages.11x81/2.Book in very good condition with solid burgandy cloth boards and dark gold lettering on spine. However there are stains almost covering boards that are not very visible. Two darker squares in center of front board. Very minimum edge wear or bumping. Slipcase missing. Endpapers are very pretty mauve and white fl owers. Since previous owners had many SIGNED BY AUTHOR books in their collection this is being sold as that even though signed inscription of 'To Paul & Janie with love David' contains author's first name. Book divided into seven parts: Southern Tales, The Mechanics of Ecstasy, The Catterpiller On The Leaf, Entrain'd Seas, Photographs, Fugitive Pieces (excerpts from Rolling Stone) , Songs. Page 20 only has the red glue strip that held the flex record. Book is tight white and bright. ; Book number is SVL17-55; Signed by Author.
